A strong start to the new season across all three academies. We are delighted to welcome back Aztech Academy and Mourant Girls Academy, and to introduce the new Spirit Development players to our pathway. We look forward to supporting every player on their journey.

With the completion of the BWCI Festival last weekend, the GFA Aztech Academy 2024/25 season drew to a close.

It's been a busy one!...

Trials at the @elizabethcollegesport College Field, training sessions at the @kgvguernsey, mini matches at @aztechsoccer, the big move to @victoriaparkstadium, sessions with FA coach developers, Muratti wins, learning from @mayaletissier, @rangersguernsey 7s tournament, coaching from @ks_eliteacademy, Goalkeeper club assisted by @jk1_goalkeeping, BWCI Festival, and so much more.

Thanks to everyone involved in making it so memorable. 🙏🏼

It's exciting to see so many future stars coming through!! 🌟

GFA @aztechsoccer Academy highlights from April - June

They did it! The Academy U11s won the Schoolboy Muratti on Sunday in Jersey!

Well done to all involved 👏🏼

A proud moment for the coaches and players involved 💚

Our Academy groups have recently been working on covering defending and making recovery runs. The secondary benefit of this kind of practice is that we get to work on lots of attacking play as well!

Our U11s wore the Guernsey green against @stmartinsacgsy U12s at the College Field last week. Saints took a 6-5 win in a thrilling encounter.

There's snow way we're cancelling training!

Last weeks snow flurries didn't stop our Academy U13s from enjoying their training session at the KGV. ❄️

The GFA Aztech Academy is back up and running this week after our winter break. Here are some images from the last few sessions before Christmas.

Last week @sylvanssc brought their U11s to play our U10s at the @kgvguernsey. Thank you for the competitive matches and shared learning opportunity 🙏🏼

A great start to the week with dry weather allowing our groups to get through some good work.
Previously, groups have been working on build up play, creativity, and pressing when out of possession.
Attention now focuses on activity around the goal - which means lots of finishing!

Our U11s and U12s going head to head on Tuesday night. A great learning experience for both sets of players.

Thankfully the rain temporarily held off for the Year 4 & 5 session on Thursday. The Year 5s can be seen listening to instructions about their 'Pressing' session, while the 4s go through their warm up routine.

Thursdays are goalie club night! A chance for our in-house goalkeeping coach (and U21 winning manager) @jordy_kelly1 to get stuck in giving goalkeeper training to the islands leading No.1s.

This is the start of an important new area of focus for us as coaches. Goalkeeping is a unique position in the game; almost like a sport within a sport. As such, it demands very specific attention and training.
